Group Executive : Total Reward (Remuneration & Benefits & Organisation Effectiveness).

Our client is a multinational listed South African corporate entity with its corporate headquarters in South Africa.

They wish to appoint a total rewards professional to take responsibility for the total rewards strategy of the group.

The successful candidate, an experienced human capital management professional, will be a recognised remuneration & benefits and organisation effectiveness professional.

The successful candidate will have significant experience and a demonstrable record of achievement in a senior remuneration & benefits and organisation effectiveness role in South Africa .

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the integration of corporate strategy, organisation design and architecture , workforce planning , job architecture, human capital management strategy, organisation effectiveness , talent management strategy and total reward strategy in a major organisation.

  • A demonstrable record of implementation and execution of total reward strategy is nonnegotiable.

The purpose of this position is to provide professional strategic total reward expertise to the board , Remco and the company executive and to implement the reward strategy across the company.

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the board and Remco and the rest of the company executive.
  • The candidate will need to display gravitas and self-confidence and emotional maturity to deal with all internal and stakeholders (including shareholders) at different levels in the organisation.

Organisation effectiveness is the fundamental goal of input from this position and an in-depth understanding and execution ability in respect of all interrelated factors impacting on organisation effectiveness in terms of the entire human capital value chain is essential.

  • It goes without saying that the successful candidate will be highly numerate and computer literate.
  • Functional competency in the areas of statistics, and quantitative methods is essential.
  • Functional competency in mathematics and accounting is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be a consummate business person in the first place and thereafter a highly experienced and successful remuneration and benefits specialist with in the human capital management profession.

Requisite Qualifications and Experience and Know-How.

Qualifications:

· At least a relevant bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in South Africa, with an emphasis on human capital management , organisation development and effectiveness and/or industrial psychology or equivalent.

· Mandatory .

· Alternatively a relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial management or quantitative methods or equivalent.

· A postgraduate qualification in any of the above mentioned fields preferably at Masters level, will be advantageous.

· Certification as a Global Remuneration Professional is mandatory.

· A postgraduate business qualification such as an MBA will be advantageous.

Experience:

· At least 15 years of post-qualifying experience in human capital management with a specific focus on remuneration & benefits, total reward and organisation effectiveness.

· At least 10 years of management experience in the above in sizeable corporate entities in South Africa.

o The brunt of the above-mentioned 10 years must have been in remuneration and benefits and organisation effectiveness.

· Consummate experience in influencing and persuading and stakeholder managing at board and C suite level in a sizeable corporate entity in South Africa.

· Functional competency in ERP systems as they relate to reward management.

· Well-developed strategic and operational business nous.

· Excellent command of the English language.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.
