The USAID-funded Climate Change Adaptation Project in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Grants Manager. This position will be located in Malé, Maldives.

The Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Project enhances the adaptive capacities of the public and private sectors and local communities in Maldives and Sri Lanka to climate change impacts in ways that contribute to sustained, inclusive market-based growth. This five-year project seeks to identify and scale up innovative solutions to adaptively manage climate-related risks through market-driven private sector and community engagement; strengthen central and/or local governance to address climate-related risks; and improve availability and access to high-quality information for decision-making to reduce vulnerability to climate change in both countries. The CCA Activity is a 5-year USAID contract being implemented by Tetra Tech and runs through July 2026.

The Grants Manager is responsible for assisting in the implementation and administration of the grants under contract program for the CCA Project in the Maldives. S/he provides hands-on capacity building and support to CCA Project grantees to adhere with requirements. This position reports to the DCOP/Maldives and coordinates closely with the Sri Lanka-based Grants Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Grants Manager/Maldives is responsible for assisting in the implementation and administration of the CCA Project Grants under Contract program in the Maldives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

*Work with the Home Office and Sri Lanka Grants Manager to understand all aspects of the CCA Project Grants Manual;

*Provide administrative leadership in design and roll-out Grants under Contract procurements including but not limited to preparation and evaluation of procurement documents, grant agreements and grant deliverables;

*Coordinate effectively with CCA Activity technical and operations staff to ensure grants support Contract and Work Plan requirements in a contract-compliant manner;

*Work with Director of Administration & Finance (DAF) to ensure that finances related to grants implementation are planned and managed effectively;

*Oversee the development of concept notes and technical scopes of work for short-term technical consultants; and

*Provide significant contributions to CCA Project project deliverable documents including but not limited to Startup and Preliminary Work Plan, Annual Work Plan, Weekly Updates, Quarterly Reports, Annual Reports and Activity Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan (AMELP).

Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, or other relevant field.

*Minimum three (3) years’ experience, preferably administering grants on donor-funded projects.

*Demonstrated understanding of grants management in Maldives; strong administration and project management capacity; ability to lead and work as a team player, ensuring active involvement of both technical and operational staff in CCA Project grants management.

*Professional fluency in written and spoken English as well as Divehi is required.
