Here’s where you come in:

As Graduation Approach (GA) Lead, Somalia Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA), you will contribute to World Vision’s important work in Somalia by ensuring that the activity design stays true to the Graduation Approach of the RFSA while also ensuring that the social dimensions of food security and community resilience are effectively addressed across all activity components and at all levels throughout the entire award period. You will play a critical role in integrating social inclusion—in particular, IDP, marginalized population, gender, and youth integration to ensure the intended Activity outcomes are met. You will ensure that all components of the graduation approach work together to create multiplier effects across and between components. You will also ensure that overall technical implementation quality remains consistent and of high quality among all of the sub-awardees and implementation locations in the award.

Requirements include:

  • A master’s degree in agriculture, economic, food security, international development or non-profit management or related a concentration from an accredited U.S. college or university, or international equivalent.
  • Five years of experience implementing the graduation approach is required.
  • Must have demonstrated experience designing and implementing the five components of the graduation approach and have an in-depth understanding of how gender, age, and other locally relevant socio-cultural factors may play a role in targeting participants.
  • Have a demonstrated capacity to lead the collection, analysis, and utilization of information from a broad range of sources in collaboration with the M&E Lead, Strategic Learning Advisor and the Resilience and Livelihoods Technical Advisor.
  • Previous experience in working in a large USAID grant including Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA), Development Food Security Activity (DFSA), Development Food Assistance Programs (DFAP)s, Multi Year Assistance Programs (MYAP)s and/or Development Assistance Programs (DAP)s. Programs (DFAP)s, Multi Year Assistance Programs (MYAP)s and/or Development Assistance Programs (DAP)s.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and other language(s).
  • Mandatory travels to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as required.
  • Travel to the United States WVUS Washington, DC Office to meet with donors and other stakeholders.
