Your role

Do you want to learn how a bank manages its financial resources and structural risks?

We’re looking for someone like that to

  • get to know how Treasury manages the Bank’s liquidity, funding, and capital requirements to maximize sustainable shareholder value
  • learn how to combine risk management skills with the capacity to understand how a bank balance sheet operates
  • gain familiarity with financial products used to manage a broad range of credit and market risks affecting the Treasury function
  • learn how Treasury works as an organization and collaborate with our partners across the Business Divisions and Functions
  • develop your skills analyzing complex situations, create the best strategy out of many possible solutions and communicate them to stakeholders and senior management
  • apply technology, data analytics and new techniques to traditional Treasury activities, enabling UBS’ strategic ambitions

Graduate Talent Program

Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

Group Treasury is responsible for the efficient management of the Group’s financial resources and structural risks of the balance sheet. Our mandate encompasses the management, control and optimization of liquidity, funding, capital and inter-group engagements across the Group and its subsidiaries. You’ll be starting in the Regional Treasury Switzerland team in Switzerland, responsible for the financial resources and balance sheet management of UBS Switzerland AG. We are collaborating closely across many functions and locations, for example with the UBS Switzerland AG’s CFO teams, business divisions P&C and GWM and the Global Treasury functions. During your program you will be rotating across different Group Treasury areas, including Asset & Liability Management (ALM to get full exposure on how Group Treasury operates.

Your expertise

You need to have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree.

In particular, you have

  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • an interest in financial markets, numbers, models and products
  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • a structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • the ability stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
  • a good command of Microsoft Office and a fast learner when it comes to new IT products. Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus
