About Us:

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is an international legal foundation focused on atrocity-crime accountability. Drawing on decades of experience in conflict-affected areas and transitional justice environments our “root and branch” philosophy combines innovative full-spectrum accountability strategies, building the capacity of States to implement international humanitarian and human rights standards, bespoke expertise in evidence gathering in conflict settings and assisting communities to seek remedies for violations. We have a registered presence in the Netherlands, the UK and Ukraine and projects around the globe.

We are looking for a Global HR Manager with proven experience and who is able to deliver at an operational level. This role is hands on, flexible, responsive and perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced challenging multinational environment. We see this role evolving to become an integral part of our leadership team, with a mix of strategic and operational work to meet the needs of the growing organization.

The HRM will be responsible for setting up and implementing the full life cycle of HR processes and procedures.

Duty Station: Remote
Contract Duration: 6 months with probable extension

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and HR database, identifying solutions for possible issues.
  • Lead recruitments and prepare job descriptions, offer letters and contracts in consultation with Project leads, Finance & Admin.
  • Ensure compliance with donor rules and other relevant HR regulations by conducting investigations and maintaining records.
  • Bridge management and staff/consultant relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Drive effective performance management and retention of key talent.
  • Ensure that the onboarding is high-quality and up to date, and provide clarity and connection for employees/consultants so their roles serve the overall objective of the project and GRC.
  • Evaluates contractual benefits and assists our staff/consultants with their entitlements.
  • Oversees disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations and handles confidential matters with discretion.
  • Handles all other HR-related tasks as required.

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an HR generalist, ideally in a not-for-profit or legal field.
  • Suitable candidates will be flexible, resilient, organized, diligent, thoughtful and thorough
  • Knowledge of HR labour and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives.
  • Ability to express opinions in a professional manner with strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Good organizational, planning and follow up skills with good attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource related field, M.S. degree is a plus.
