We now have an excellent opportunity for a flexible and highly self-motivated individual to provide operational support to the Acquisition Manager in planning, delivering and evaluating effective donor recruitment programmes across a number of key channels, but with a focus on DRTV and on-site.

Position: Fundraising Officer

Location: Remote, flexibility may be required for occasional onsite attendance in Devon

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday

Salary: £26,695 per annum

Contract: Permanent

These are exciting times for the charity, as it enters an important stage in the fundraising strategy. Having achieved considerable growth in the last 5 years, the organisation is investing significantly in the fundraising team to help reach £50m income by 2023.

The Role

As Fundraising Officer, you will promote all individual giving propositions across a proven channel mix, introducing new channels as required.

Your main duties and responsibilities within this varied and rewarding role will include:

  • Day to day management of fundraising campaigns specialising in channels such as Direct Response Television advertising and fundraising on our visitor sites across the UK
  • Managing the ongoing delivery of targets for a number of fundraising products including adoptions, lottery and regular giving
  • Assisting the Acquisition Manager in developing testing timelines, strategic plans and quarterly reforecasts, flagging any issues or successes in a timely manner
  • Liaising closely with internal teams to project manage the effective delivery of fundraising targets (income and donors) across your specialist channels
  • Effectively managing campaign expenditure
  • Utilising the insight delivered by the Performance and Insight Manager to enhance fundraising acquisition programmes through audience insight, communication tools, approaches through different channels, etc.
  • Liaising effectively with key external agencies managing day to day activity

About You

As Fundraising Officer you will have experience of working with supporter or customer data in the context of planning and evaluating direct marketing activities.

You Will Have

  • Experience of working in a fundraising acquisition environment across channels such as DRTV, digital, direct mail, telephone etc.
  • The ability to plan and manage a variety of simultaneous projects and people to tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience of using databases (including Raiser’s Edge)
