Description:

The Change Management Lead for the CCC is responsible to facilitate the successful planning and adoption of operational changes and standardization opportunities as the stakeholders transition from the Tom Baker Cancer Centre to the new Calgary Cancer Centre (CCC). The Change Management Lead is a position accountable to lead the development and implementation of strategies to collect, document and articulate the significance of change as the transition to the new CCC occurs. This role is responsible for the development and execution of organizational change management plans in support of the transition to the new CCC. The Change Management Lead will work closely with the Orientation and Training Lead to ensure consistent messaging of future state workflow and standardized practices are consistently communicated in all forums to ensure staff and stakeholders are informed and empowered to adhere to the planned future state at the CCC. Reporting to the Director of Operational Readiness Planning, CCC, the incumbent will work collaboratively with departmental leaders to embrace standardization and implementation of new evidence based best practices across the transition to the new site. In addition, the Change Management Lead will: lead, develop, implement and evaluate program quality improvement initiatives; facilitate teams to meet best practice and accreditation standards; and establish new or update existing clinical guidelines, processes and standards for program areas at the CCC. The Lead, in conjunction with the Director of Operational Readiness and Operational Leaders will be specifically accountable for leading the change management efforts for all programs and services across this substantial transition.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a healthcare environment either in a clinical or QI related area. Relevant experience with strategic change management initiative development and implementation within a diverse healthcare setting A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Progressive leadership experience in a related health care field including 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role in a clinical area Experience with quality improvement techniques/processes including but not limited to LEAN, Six Sigma, AIW, implementation science and knowledge translation Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, patient and family centred orientation and commitment to providing quality services Expertise in program/project management interacting at the middle and senior management level. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver results. Computer knowledge and proficiency related to databases, work processing, spreadsheets, flowcharting, graphics and web-based applications. Experience with program evaluation and data analysis.
