Permanent full-tim role (37 hours per week)
Base location mixture of Dereham and Home working
Annual salary £25,000 to £27,000 (depending on experience)

This is a new and exciting role for Independence Matters as recruitment has previously been undertaken by operational managers. By centralising recruitment and bringing most of the function into our well-established HR function we will better support our recruiting managers and ensure the delivery and excellent applicant experience. The new recruitment model will also include the implementation of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) which the Recruitment Officer will be expected to lead and oversee of as well as its ongoing management, maintenance and development.
We Expect The Recruitment Officer To
To act as the knowledge base and central point of contact within HR for all recruitment related matters
To take the lead on recruitment policy and procedure to ensure it remains up to date, changes are communicated and responsive to the needs of the organisation
Ensure safer recruitment processes are reviewed, robust and proportionate
Advertise job vacancies on the recruitment portal, job boards, social media and the company website. Being proactive in adapting marketing campaigns to ensure consistent flow of applications to build a robust candidate pipeline
Stay up to date of recruiting trends, best practice and legislation
To undertake as required shortlisting of CV’s and/or candidate application forms for Recruiting Managers. Evaluating the skills and knowledge of each candidate
Assist with interviews (competency and valued based) as required
Support Recruiting Managers with pre-employment checks which may include DBS checks, obtaining references, arranging fit for jobs assessments, and ensuring eligibility to work in the UK
Provide and use recruitment data to complete timely reports on employment activity
Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on recruitment related topics and processes.
You Will Need
Experience of working with social media platforms
Experience of reviewing and improving recruitment policy and procedures
Experience of working with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
Confident to act as the centre of excellence for recruitment within the HR function
Excellent Communication Skills
Excellent administrative and IT skills
Basic Financial awareness
Computer literacy, Excel, Work, e-mail etc.
Excellent understanding of English language both written and spoken
Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
Car driver with clean driving licence.
