Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World br Food Operations Technical Supervisor br DUTIES br Oversee technical aspects of Food Operations to ensure contract compliance and effectiveness br Oversee activities related to procurement storage inventory services provided and budget planning br Act as technical advisor in country regarding legal requirements best practices terms and conditions and delivery schedules for Food Services br Contribute to the subcontract surveillance process in coordination with the GSCM Subcontracts department and Subcontractor to ensure subcontractor is meeting the deliverables of their contract and performing according to the terms of the agreement br Analyze current processes and procedures to identify improvement areas leading to elimination of non-value-added steps and the addition of value-added solutions br Daily coordination with U S Embassy Logistics Management Center LMC br REQUIRED br Minimum Acceptable Experience Level br… Minimum five 5 years of progressive professional experience in contract subcontract food service administration or Life Support Services in large facilities br Knowledge Skills and Abilities br Ability to evaluate financial program effectiveness and develop strategic plans and financial control mechanisms and oversee multiple-line budget br Ability to collect analyze and summarize data and prepare reports for internal and external use br Advanced working and practical knowledge of all facets of food supply chain sourcing and supplier management br Advanced leadership networking and interpersonal skills with an ability to develop productive working relationships and work harmoniously with others br Advanced project management skills to properly plan launch and execute projects br Proven advanced organizational and planning skills in order to prioritize and balance multiple projects br Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to communicate with a wide variety of levels and positions within the organization including VP and executive level br Proven advanced ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives br Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation familiarity with business law basics br Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment br Experience working in Middle East with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences preferred br Education br Bachelor s Degree in Purchasing Supply Chain Management Business Administration International Management or ten 10 years of relevant experience related to the Food Service Industry br Licenses and Certifications br Certified Public Manager CPM or equivalent preferred br Certified Food and Beverage Executive CFBE -Optional br ServSafe certification Lifetime br Other br Security Vetting Secret Clearance is required br Language Skills Superior English proficiency kills br Citizenship Must be eligible for U S Government Clearance br Medical Must be able to successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations and maintain physical and dental requirements for the duration of the contract br WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS br This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions While performing the duties of this job the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit 50- 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere extreme environment as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including but not limited to heavy lifting and moving of items parts assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum climbing in and out of equipment crawling and working outdoors This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and duck amp cover during emergencies without
