We are looking for: FLYING LOGISTICS TRAINER

General Objective
The role of the LogCo ( Logistics Coordinator) / Log manager’s Trainer is dual:
- To guaranty the continuity of the logistics coordination in case of
- replacement of LogCo without the possibility to ensure a hand over between the out going and the new comer
- filling up LogCo gap due to recruitment/matching constraints
- To provide training (with the main role of a mentor) to junior LogCo, deputy LogCo and/or Log managers and supervisor, to help & support them to integrate into their new position.
- Brief and coach the Logcos and Log Managers on the Logistic’s strategy and others tools for monitoring and following activity in the field.

The willingness to increase the transfer of responsibilities to the missions requires the reinforcement our LogCo and Log Managers (PLM, LTL) in the resources & activities management.
The training/mentoring is one of the pillars that could contribute to this reinforcement together with trainings and definition / planning of the training path for the person trained.
When they need managerial training, the WaCA LogCo and Logistic Managers can be sent to the LMC, the Forlog and few to the WaCA management training or LCC (Logistics Coordination Course).
Although those training address the basics of management, they remain theoretical and need to be complemented with a hands-on experiment.
Sending an experience and skilled LogCo to support beginners during few weeks may compensate the lack of practice and experience.
Main responsibilities
Context and Objectives of the position
- This set up fits into the logistics HR management, training and field support strategy the Log/HR dpt. Wants to adopt.
- Complexity & quality requested at logistic level in the fieldwork are growing and logistics national teams are left without expatriate support in numerous countries, the organization acknowledges these challenges by supporting its teams, and especially its Managers and Coordinators. So, this position targets first the LogCo and the logistics managers (nationals) in the field.
- It aims at supporting them to hold successfully their position & responsibilities in a given context as the learning process aims to strengthen their skills & competencies.
- To produce, activate and mobilize field manager’s knowledge and know-how in working situation.
- To make them acquire practices, standards, and behavior to optimize the quality of effective field work.
- To develop and reinforce managerial skills.
- To show them WaCA’s way of working, to share the key values with the field.
Trainer’s main responsibilities
1. Based on the MSF Coaching/Mentoring Management Support Guideline:
- Implement methodology and coaching tools,
- Monitor the coaching process,
- In charge of the coaching cycle:
- Coaching needs assessment,
- Design coaching plan,
- Coaching implementation and
- Coaching follow up.
- Debrief at the HQ level,
- Document and capitalize coach experiences.
2. In the mission only supported by national logistic team, prior to any coaching/training activities, the Flying LogCo will evaluate, recommend and set appropriated logistics procedures and team to fit the requirement of the mission (agreed with the coordination team):
- Evaluation of an adapted log set up
- Proposition of the logistics set up corresponding to needs (coordination and RLO)
- Implementation of the defined logistics organization
- Propose necessary team or individual trainings
3. Reinforcement of existing logistics team (increase of activities or gaps of logistic coordinator):
- According to the needs & priorities of the mission, assume the logistics coordination responsibilities under the line management of the Head of mission.

- Fluency required in either English or French and the candidate must be able to communicate professionally in the other
Computer skills
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
