Position based in : Abidjan

Working Time : 100%

General Objective

The principal objective of the position is to support MSF WaCA on the definition of the organization processes assets (tools, guidelines, policies, SOP, templates, committees, etc…) related to the pharmacy. This goes from the needs identification based on medical strategy, their quantification, the supply chain system including quality assurance and drugs distribution and the efficient & rational use of pharmaceutical products.

Main responsibilities

Technical support to pharmacy teams

• Focal point for defining, writing key WaCA processes Assets (tools, SOP, policies, template, etc…) related to pharmacy management
• Propose new tools, solutions and systems in collaboration with IT teams related to medical order
• Technical support on use of Isystock, including follow-up of implementation of database updates in the projects
• Contribute with Head of Pharmacy, learning unit on development of training modules related to pharmacy management
• Participate in training of the staff in charge of managing medical stocks/pharmacies on pharmacy tools.
• advise and support the teams (field and HQ) on all pharmacy management tool related issues: medical stocks management; the medical orders, The of pharmaceutical indicators (monthly and annual reports)
• In collaboration with the supply team, support in defining the med-pharma-supply strategy at HQ level
• Briefings and debriefings.
• Planification of induction sessions for 1st mission’s pharmacists.
• Development and update of Key Performance Indicators related to pharmacy management
• Analyse and follow-up pharma indicators and production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Participation when relevant or requested in meetings at Head Quarter and missions’ levels
• The analysis and follow up of pharmaceutical indicators (monthly and annual reports)
• In collaboration with the head of pharmacy, design the architecture for goods storage and distribution practices.
• Support and guide (field and HQ) in the request of new medical devices subscription procedure
• Support the management and monitoring of cold chain (active and passive) in the missions
• Focal point for pharmacovigilance.

Job Profile

Education / Qualification / Pre-requisites

• Degree as Pharmacist.
• Master of Public health or Supply Chain Systems is an asset

Professional experience required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as pharmacist.
• Experience with stock management, supply chain, people management & coaching.
• Mandatory: 3 years MSF experience

Langages skills

• Fluency required in either English or French and the candidate must be able to communicate professionally in the other

Computer skills

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
