Position Description:
We are looking for a results-driven and confident Financial Controller to manage and improve our organization’s financial performance and direct our accounting operations.
The Financial Controller will lead a busy finance team which supports the activities of global development company Sayara International. Candidates should be qualified accountants (ACCA or equivalent), with at least two years of demonstrable experience managing a transactional finance department. Candidates must have excellent communication skills in English.
Duties for the Financial Controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Financial Controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. The Financial Controller will streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive profitability.
The Financial Controller will report to Sayara���������s President.

Responsibilities:

Desired Qualifications/ Skills:
������ Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent).
������ 2+ years��������� experience managing a transactional finance department.
������ International Development industry experience considered a plus.
������ Proven experience in finance management.
������ Good communication skills.
������ Strong leadership qualities.
������ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural team.

Location & Travel:
Remote work. Open to applicants from different geographic locations.
Job Type:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday.
Duration:
The Financial Controller will be offered a one (1) year employment contract, with a four (4) month probation period and the option for renewal, based on the discretion of, and mutual agreement between Sayara and the Financial Controller.
