The REM/IDC unit is responsible for the global coordination and management of all contributions within REM and transversally across concerned divisions, to ensure an efficient and proper recording of funds and an internal management of the earmarked contributions from proposal to implementation. Consequently, full audit accountability for contributions is ensured by the REM/IDC unit.

The REM/IDC unit ensures as well the production of financial reports and analysis, for internal and external use, and is in charge of data management and data quality. Software and applications used by REM division, likes Raiser’s Edge, D2D-Donor to Distribution, Peoplesoft EPM (data warehouse), Tableau BI data sources (Business Intelligence), are managed by REM/IDC.

The Resource Mobilization Financial Business Analyst and Income Coordinator is responsible to developing financial reports and analysis for the division, for private donors and other stakeholders.

She/He analyses mobilization assistance data and develop fundraising proposals (reports) for the different stakeholders. She/he makes sure funds are correctly registered and spent, tracks the needs throughout the year and finally ensures the coherence of income data for private and donor’s reports. She/he ensures the ICRC is accountable to its donors.

  • Responsibility to deliver high quality of private contributions recordings, proposals, reports and analysis
  • Monitor quality of data of Raiser’s Edge DRM

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internally, collaborates with other REM units, Finance Division, ICT and with other clients/partners within the organization
  • Externally, interacts with auditors

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Income Management

  • Supervise and mentor the CARE income specialist team
  • Perform income specialist tasks such as recording of contributions from private sector manually or through imports in the system, reconciliation between systems, corrections, follow-up with fundraising for documentation
  • Manage and oversee pledges entered in the ICRC systems and control / validate the correctness of pledges in terms of earmarking and outstanding needs, set priorities.
  • Supervise, provide, collaborate to any internal and external request regarding private contributions
  • Support in the implementation of new payment processes
  • Manage and improve reimbursement processes
  • Is the main contact for FAD colleagues and manage escalations

Accounting Closure

  • Supervise monthly and yearly accounting closures on IDC DRM tool, Raiser’s Edge.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Produce, develop, optimize, and maintain financial reports and queries.
  • Contribute to the creation and design of financial reports, dashboards or analysis based on ad hoc requests by using the more adapted query tools at disposal (Raiser’s Edge, Tableau, Hyperion, Peoplesoft query, Power query, SQL management studio, etc.)
  • Provides REM_REP with necessary financial figures for updates, budget extensions and funding proposals to donors
  • Contribute to the development and design of REM tools and participate in UAT testing

Process Automation and Review

  • Propose and implement improvements, quick wins, enhanced and better processes.
  • Contribution to the evolution of the DRM tool through e.g., testing

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or equivalent (Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 5-9 years professional experience with at least 4 years in similar field
  • Experience in working on financial and analytical accounting
  • Sound understanding of ICRC financial and logistics process and related tools
  • Experience in people management
  • Computer proficiency: good knowledge of databases/CRM software, Oracle-Peoplesoft accounting system (GL+AR) is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau.
  • Good command in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French language is a plus
  • High level of analytical skills
