Reports To: Senior Finance Manager

Position Summary

The Finance Officer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facilitating agreement payments, ensuring quality reporting, facilitation of Agreement budget, opening and closeout processes, and maintaining agreement related information and files. S/he will support the Senior Finance Officer and Senior Finance Manager to managing reporting deadlines, produce quality financial reports and donor updates.

S/he will also support ad-hoc deliverables for the Finance department and any other task assigned by the supervisor. S/he will work in coordination with the Senior Finance Officer and Senior Finance Manager.

Key outcomes include:

  • Manage routine tasks as directed by finance policies and the line manager.
  • Fulfil the designated goal set by the finance office.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the facilitation of contracts/agreements in terms of payments, Budget to Actual Reporting, and Agreement Compliance with Senior Finance Officer and Senior Finance Manager.
  • Keep track of reporting schedules according to the relevant department framework and its strict follow-up with the focal points.
  • Managing records and receipts for every customers and keep tracking of receivables on daily basis and report to the Senior Finance officers and executives.
  • Reconciling monthly and yearly transactions especially for the receivables and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, or Senior Finance officer
  • Participating in Financial Audits and providing the relevant requirement documentations for reviewing to Senior Finance Manager and assist with auditing purposes.
  • Entering the financial data to internal accounting system.
  • Ensure timely collection of monthly, quarterly & annual draft reports from different units on a timely basis.
  • Edit and review collected reports and refer to relevant reporting focal points for missing information, clarification of inconsistencies, and correction of inaccuracies.
  • Faciliate agreement payments and perform routine finance tasks as requested.
  • Maintain a backup file of various issues and reports produced and submitted.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • The position requires the incumbent to reside in Afghanistan
  • Bachelor of Business Administration, or Finance or any related field with four years of experience in the related field is required.
  • Prior experience in Power Campus and Dynamics 365 is an advantage
  • Customer orientated attitude and must have a great knowledge of dealing with students
  • High level of consistency and a great team player
  • Proficiency in Dari, Pashto, and English
