Its programmes focus on the sectors of Education, Rapid Response to Population Movements (RRMP), Protection and Humanitarian Mediation, Shelter, EHA (Shelter/Wash), and Information, Counselling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA) in favour of populations forced to move.

You will be responsible for –

The purpose of the Finance Manager is to ensure that the financial set up is according to NRC standards and to support programme/project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparations for and follow up on audits
• Provide input on operational support in proposal development and project implementation
• Facilitate the Master Support Budget and BPO development
• Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows.
• Generate monthly financial reports including BvAs and provide financial analysis with appropriate advice to the country management team and budget holders
• Train line managers and staff with financial responsibilities and tools
• Support budget holders on the budgeting process and prepare donors financial reports on due time
• Lead and develop the finance team capacity in the country including training and development of local finance procedures
• Coordinate weekly meetings between finance staff for information sharing
• Conduct routine field visits to monitor compliance of internal control and financial systems
• Implementing and following up on audit findings for the smooth running of the country Office
• Performing and following up on any other duties assigned by line manager

What you will bring:

• Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Financial Manager
• Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
• Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems
• Written and verbal fluency in French; English working proficiency

We offer:

• Commencement: April 2023
• Contract period: 12 months contract with possibility of extension
• Duty Station: Goma, DR Congo
• Travel: Up to 30%
• Salary/benefits: Grade 9 according to NRC’s general direction
