SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.
Job Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the tasks assigned by Finance Team based on Finance department SOP’s mainly for filing, documenting, and archiving the financial documents.
Key Activities/Tasks/Duties
- Responsible for Scanning and Archiving all Documents in a timely manner and according to the Sened’s procedures.
- Responsible for Tracking all cash advances for project and field team.
- Following-up weekly, and monthly cash counts, prepare all necessary signed documents.
- Record transactions for project expenditures on accounting system (QuickBooks Online).
- Represent finance in bid opening and tenders.
- Supporting the preparation of the project financial report.
- Supporting other Finance team in reviewing all bank payments requests.
- Assist in preparing the bank letters and all other correspondence.
- Complete other tasks as required by other Finance team members. Any other tasks shall be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
Essential
- Intermediate diploma or bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or related departments.
- Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
- Advanced level in both Turkish and Arabic languages.
Desirable
- Intermediate level in the English language.
- Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
- Verified experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements, and compliance.
