Farmer Field School Trainers

1. Preparing, organizing and conducting FFS training sessions as per the Farmer-Field-School (FFS) methodology to 10 or more FFS groups. (approx. 2 hours per training session).

2. Analyzing and assessing in FFSs the present situation in which farmers grow, harvest and market their grain and discuss potential, constraints and solutions for improvements.

3. Contribute to developing training modules, a monthly training schedule considering the seasonal calendar and a wide range of demonstration material to make sessions interesting and to visualize what you want to teach.

4. Prepare reports as requested.

5. Data entry for the FFS attendance.

6. Monitoring the demonstration plots identified by NRC in the targeted villages. 7. Contributing to the development of FFS curriculum and modules.

8. Assess training needs in different areas and recommendations for further steps.

9. Contributing to the production of necessary training modules/materials/other IEC materials;

10. Assist in designing FFS baseline survey, different monitoring and reporting tools.

11. Contributing in designing and implementing the institutionalization of FFS activities through Farmers’ Group/Associations/CBOs

– Any Agriculture/Fishery/Livestock qualification from a recognized Agricultural       institution.

– At least 1 year of experience in agriculture-related projects. Working experience on FFS development, facilitation and implementation will be an added advantage. – Skills in developing training modules and facilitation of training.

– Fluency in Arabic and other local languages in Tuz.

– Must be resident in Tuz, Suleiman Beg and or Amerli.
