**Executive Assistant to Executive Director Location: UK Flexible Contract: Contract until March 2023 Hours: 21 per week* Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum (pro rata salary £18,000) depending on experience

Are you a motivated and organised individual who could provide dedicated Executive Assistant support to our Chief Finance Officer (Finance and Social Enterprises) ensuring the smooth running of their office?**

This role is ideal for someone with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, who is keen for an opportunity to demonstrate their ability and provide leadership on the communication and engagement across the wider directorate.

What you will be doing

As Executive Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to the Executive Director (Finance and Social Enterprises), including proactive ly managing their diaries, setting and planning for meetings and small amounts of travel requirements and ensuring that the Executive Directors are briefed and prepared for meetings.

This is a unique opportunity where you will administer meetings, including directorate management meetings: preparing and circulating agendas and supporting papers, preparing and co-ordinating reports, taking and circulating minutes and following up on action, all within agreed timescales.

In this exciting and creative role, you will also help develop effective ways of communicating with staff, working closely with the Directorate Management Team and Engagement Group to create and promote a directorate wide engagement culture. You will write and edit content for a range of communications using appropriate channels to ensure clarity and consistency of message.

*This is a flexible location; hybrid role, and your working location will be divided between your hom e and the nearest appropriate British Red Cross Office. There is flexibility with how the hours can be allocated however, there is an operational preference for the hours to be divided over 4 or 5 days.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for applicants to have a demonstrable track record of providing excellence as an assistant to senior executives.

Genuinely strong interpersonal skills that enable you to develop produ ctive working relationships internally and externally.

Excellent communication skills with experience of having supported and managed communications methods is also essential to success in this role.

Great general office and administrative skills such as attention to detail, organisation, time management and IT literacy (MS Office applications)

A genuine interest in upholding the British Red Cross Fundamental Principles, leading, and advocating for the organisation’s values promoting diversity, inclusion and ethical behaviours supporting people in crisis.
