Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Entertainment Director who will be responsible for the successful production and delivery of the parks’ entertainment offering, day to day leadership of live shows, atmosphere and character performances, special/seasonal events, and all associated. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Entertainment programs including safety standards and environmental compliance, guest and employee satisfaction, and financial delivery.Your scope of work will also include: Work in conjunction with the Director of Entertainment in developing and implementing the strategic plan for the production, maintenance, and enhancement of all entertainment venues and special events. Ensure successful daily operations of all entertainment venues and special events. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff creating a productive and positive work environment Provide direction to staff in career development, performance management and be accountable for completion of all administrative matters in a timely manner. Oversee entertainment financial areas including labor and non-labor budgets, capital planning, staff schedules, and show schedules/cycles/grids Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, and training. Partner both in and outside of the department with management counterparts and performs as departmental duty manager as required. Maintain a network of industry contacts, stays abreast of entertainment trends and performs competitive bench-marking as necessary. Work as an internal brand ambassador and develop a deep understanding of the worlds and stories that have been created for the park Stay abreast of all new developments within the park’s IPs, as well as industry developments at large, and identify opportunities to leverage them within the park Establish, execute, and maintain a strategy for brand knowledge maintenance Work with relevant stakeholders to contribute in creating a portfolio of unique special events and shows that both drive incremental revenue in addition to enhancing the guest experience Working with relevant internal partners and resources to establish, execute and maintain a training and implementation system that ensure delivery of developed content Working with relevant internal and external resources to ensure guest satisfaction targets are met through Create and achieves annual operating budget Set team’s KPIs, tracks and reports results Conduct appraisals as per company’s policies Take part in coaching and counselling matters and provide guidance and mentorship as required Performs other reasonable duties as required To be considered for this role, you will need to have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent entertainment/theme park management experience Minimum of 9-10 years of experience within the entertainment/theme park industry working across both operational and creative teams Senior leadership and communication skills Financial experience creating and managing budgets as well as financial reporting and forecasting Experience with procurement and contracting Proficiency in both spoken and written English Events and project management and scheduling Manual writing, report creation and distribution General Computer skills (MS Office Suite) It would be a plus if you have: Experience working in a multicultural environment Pre-opening team experience Hands-on experience within an entertainment industry (writing, directing, producing, designing) Demonstrated licensee/licensor experience working with global brands/IPs Interested in this role?
