We are looking for an Engineering People Manager (m/f/d) to join our team. In an environment
with distributed leadership, as the Engineering People Manager, you will take the accountability for
the disciplinary management and the personal development of our engineers and their successful contribution to their product development teams. You will act as a servant leader fostering self-organization and shaping our agile environment.
About the role:
People Development: Identify the skills and capabilities needed for team success and facilitate professional development plans for team members. Provide regular mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to help individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
Performance Management: Together with your colleagues, design and implement performance management processes that are aligned with agile principles, including regular feedback, performance evaluations, and recognition of achievements. Ensure team members’ contributions are valued accordingly.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Drive the recruitment process by identifying and selecting top talent. Contribute to the onboarding process, helping new team members integrate smoothly into their role and their team.
Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and foster a learning mindset. Help team members to identify areas for growth and leverage synergies for common learning and enhancing technical, interdisciplinary, and soft skills.
Communication and Interactions: Facilitate regular exchange with stakeholders, including Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Agile Coaches, to enhance effective interactions that foster transparency and self-organization. Support teams and team members to establish clear and open channels of communication within and across product areas.
About you:
- You have proven experience as a People Manager, Team Lead or any kind of leadership position in an agile environment. Your leadership skills allow you to inspire and motivate others.
- You are an excellent communicator with an emphasis on active listening and empathy.
- Your passion for people drives you to take care of their personal and professional growth.
- You commit to continuous improvement and embrace change.
- You have a good understanding of agile methodologies and software development life cycle as well as their practical application.
- Ideally, you have a product development background and experience within e-commerce.
- You are familiar with Java, JavaScript, Node, MongoDB, MySQL, Kubernetes, and Cloud Infrastructure.
