As an Electrification Project Engineer, you will be a vital member of the eMine Global Solutions team, which operates on a global scale as part of the Process Industries division. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the electrical engineering aspects of eMine Trolley system and eMine Charging system solutions, while also providing support for the development, productization, and maintenance of eMine’s solutions.
In this capacity, you will empower local ABB units to excel in technical sales support and the execution of customer projects.
Your responsibilities
- Assisting the eMine solution Architects and eMine Global Sales in preparing quotations for eMine solutions including preparation of specifications, scope of services, scope of supply, and cost calculations.
- Cost-effectively executing eMine project deliverables within the area of expertise on time in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
- Supporting the productization processes and contributing to the development of technical expertise solutions and services for the eMine portfolio.
- Developing and documenting processes, tools and techniques to ensure compliance with regulations and contracts while actively seeking out inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Coaching and supporting technical resources in the local units to deliver eMine technical solutions from sales to execution within the area of technical expertise.
- Preparing and conducting technical presentations and training sessions on eMine solutions for internal teams and customers.
Your background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field with focus on power electronics, power systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Charging standards and solutions and/or Trolley systems is advantageous.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
- Demonstrated project execution capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Fluency in English, other languages such as Spanish are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
