Job Profile
The Emergency Support Officer – Global (ESO – Global) is an entry level position in CAFOD’s International Programmes Group.
Working with partners is central to CAFOD’s humanitarian response – helping partners to prepare for, mitigate the impact of, and respond to disasters. Working closely with the Emergency Response and Support Team (ERST) and other parts of the organisation, the ESO will play an important role in promoting CAFOD’s partnership approach and quality humanitarian programming by providing administrative, coordination and programmatic support to CAFOD’s new or ongoing humanitarian work.
The post holder will provide administrative support to ensure CAFOD’s humanitarian programmes are managed effectively and in line with relevant policies, procedures and ways of working.
The post holder will work primarily with CAFOD’s emergency response projects in countries where CAFOD does not have an ongoing country programme. The post holder will maintain effective administration of the projects in line with Project Cycle Management principles and with procedures contained in CAFOD’s Programme Management Manual and Programme Financial Manual.
