We’re looking for a full-time, staff Electrical Engineer to join our Mason & Hanger team located in one of the following office locations: Virginia Beach, VA | Glen Allen, VA | Chantilly, VA | Lexington, KY | Huntsville, AL.
As the Electrical Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do:
- The ideal candidate will be skilled in electrical engineering, and/or telecommunications and security design, and will be responsible for leading projects.
- Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Building interior and exterior lighting design, building interior power design, medium and low voltage electrical distribution, critical power and redundant system design including emergency/standby generators and UPS systems, data centers, telecommunications structured cabling systems, electronic security and CCTV systems, and solar PV and other sustainable energy solutions for government, commercial, or industrial projects.
What You Need To Bring To The Table
- Professional Engineer License (PE) or Ability to Obtain One
- AutoCAD/Revit proficiency
- Experience with Department of State/OBO
- Experience with Corps of Engineers
- Telecommunications and/or Security Design experience
- Commissioning experience
- BICSI RCDD, LEED AP, LC, CxA, or CTS certification
- Willingness to travel to high threat areas
- Great attitude and team player
- Successful completion of background screening process
The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate (Must earn PE as soon as legally eligible)
- 8+ years of experience designing and leading projects with building lighting, power distribution, and/or telecommunications and security, or other electrical systems
- Ability to learn AutoCAD/Revit
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Security Clearance Preferred
- Willing to travel internationally
