We’re looking for a full-time, staff Electrical Engineer to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Greenville, SC.

As the Electrical Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Provides technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects.
  • Develops and monitors project scopes for applicable discipline. Identifies changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
  • Provides coordination of design efforts with other disciplines and client personnel.
  • Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible.

What You Need To Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in [Discipline] Engineering or [Discipline] Technology; Degree must be ABET accredited, or acceptable to the State Board of Engineers for licensure as a professional engineer
  • 8-12 Years Experience
  • PE License preferred but not required

The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess

  • Experience in effective project execution and project procedures. Ability to supervise and lead the completion of projects.
  • Well versed in industrial design practices for medium and low voltage electrical distribution including, but not limited to, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, power distribution, heat tracing and electrical area classification. Experience applying industry codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA).
  • Familiar with the requirements for electrical power system studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, etc.) executed using SKM and/or ETAP.
  • Knowledgeable in the utilization of Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap).
