The Opportunity- Education Officer and Support in Learning, Akelius Language Learning Program in Una Sana Canton, Bihac based

ROLE PURPOSE:
The role requires the implementation of educational activities and is responsible for the direct performance in the Akelius Language Learning Program in Una Sana Canton as formal and non-formal learning in the schools. She/he may be required to liaise with the local key partner organisations and other stakeholders and agencies relevant to the sector as well as with the school’s management and teachers in USK. Education Officer and Support in Learning works in collaboration with programme staff in the education department. In order to successfully implement programme activities, it’s necessary to collect data, analyse and report.

Furthermore, the role requires the provision of general support during field activities, general office support and other ad-hoc duties as required.

In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

* Excellent knowledge (both spoken and written) of German and/or English language
* Native in BCS (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) languages
* Excellent skills in teaching/facilitating and pedagogical skills
* Excellent skills in reporting and data collection
* Strong computer literacy, advanced skills in the use of MS Office, Internet, spreadsheets etc.
* Knowledge about education in BiH
* Excellent skills in teaching/facilitating and pedagogical skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, intercultural sensitivity
* Strong teamwork skills
* Mandatory clean driving license;
* Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children, including a willingness to abide and enforce the Child Safeguarding Policy. In particular, a good understanding of the organizational mandate and child focus.

We offer a competitive package in the context of the sector. Starting date: 15.06. 2023. Contract length: Until 31.12.2023, including obligatory probation period and the possibility of extension. This role is offered on the basis of national terms and conditions only.
