Purpose of the Position:

The Dynamics 365 Senior Technician participates in the management and supervision of the delivery of support services for Dyanmics 365 and Power Apps deployments for UNICC and its clients. These are delivered at a high level of quality and internal efficiency in order to create cost savings for our customers.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Dynamics Practice Officer, within the MS Dynamics Unit (DDMS), under the Digital Delivery division (DD). Under guidance, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

Service:

  • Provide Power Apps and Dynamics environments administration and management
  • Be responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools
  • Identify technical problems, propose and implement solutions
  • Identify risks and propose and implement mitigation actions
  • Work in close collaboration with other technical teams including Information Security, Architecture, Service Management, etc
  • Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required
  • Provide support to customer for Dynamics services

Customer:

  • Under guidance, liaise with clients for Dynamics 365 and Power Apps support activities
  • Provide support in analizing, designing and implementing solutions to problems in systems based in the Power Platform, including integrations with existing systems
  • Cooperate with customers focal points to maintain operational customer systems based in the Power Platform Team
  • Under guidance, participate in the coordination of the work distribution within the team, support and monitor work progress to provide ongoing maintenance support of the existing Dynamics and Power Apps solutions for UNICC or client locations worldwide
  • Support the team to achieve goals, sharing knowledge, and creating a collaborative environment

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • At least eight (8) years of experience in IT or related area, including at least three years in Dynamics
  • Excellent knowledge in the deployment, configuration and customizations of Power Platform, including Canvas and Model Driven Apps
  • Experience in developing and deploying Dynamics Plugins
  • Experience in producing technical documentation
  • Good knowledge of Power Automate
  • Intermediate knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with other Dynamics products
  • Experience with traditional development platforms (.Net, Java, Python)
  • Understanding of the UN system

Education*:

Essential:

  • Completion of a secondary technical school programme
  • Power Platform related certifications from Microsoft, such as Power Platform Developer Associate, Power Platform App Maker Associate, Dynamics 365 Fundamentals: Customer Engagement Apps (CRM), Dynamics 365 Marketing Functional Consultant Associate or others from the Power Platform and Dyanmics 365 certifications
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Desirable:

  • Agile or project management related certification
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Azure, TOGAF, CISSP, ITIL

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Spanish: Beginner knowledge is desirable

Eligibility:

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for the allowances or benefits exclusively applicable to international recruitment.

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Brindisi, Italy: EUR 34,160
  • Valencia, Spain: EUR 44,839
