Donor Engagement Program Manager

World Renew

Purpose:
Lead the Donor Relations team in implementing a donor engagement program. Design and implement a strategy involving key donor engagement areas of field visits, field staff visits to the US and virtual interactions. This position works closely with the Donor Relations team and field staff to determine the best strategy for key donors.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design, plan, manage and coordinate impactful donor engagement opportunities
    • Determine the best opportunities for donor engagement that support the
      fundraising and overall strategies of World Renew
    • Plan and manage a calendar of donor engagement opportunities, coordinating with Donor Relations and Country Program Directors in the field
    • Develop an annual vision trip to the field to be promoted internally to donors so supporters may learn more about World Renew’s programs Plan and produce webinars from the field following domestic and international
      disasters for supporters
  2. Manage and coordinate travel arrangements for small groups of donors to visit and learn about World Renew’s ministry internationally
    • Coordinate with Donor Relations US, World Renew Canada, bridgers, and field staff to plot out trips
    • Manage travel vendor relationship to ensure timely service and effective
      programming (a travel vendor will plan and arrange trip logistics)
    • Provide assistance to other donor trips initiated by a Donor Relations
      representative
    • Ensure all trips follow World Renew and CRCNA emergency/crisis policies and guidelines
    • Manage a frequently updated, detailed master schedule of all trips and provide excellent communication to all involved parties
  3. Manage and coordinate a program for field staff visits to the US for the purpose of visiting supporters and sharing about World Renew’s programs
    • Coordinate with Donor Relations staff and upcoming field staff visitations to create a calendar of prioritized donor visits
    • Manage logistical support for field staff members
    • Develop relationships with field staff prior to their visits and arrange virtual meetings with the Donor Relations team
    • Assist with managing and approving travel of field staff for expenses in the US
  4. Use and evaluate program data to assess effectiveness of program and determine strategies and approaches
    • Enter trip data into Salesforce
    • Receive feedback and determine and receive metrics from all involved parties
    • Assess the program from a systems perspective; how all activities and
      participants interact, influence and determine outcomes
  5. Manage organizational partnerships between US churches and churches overseas for the duration of their remaining MOU
  6. Assist Donor Relations staff in setting up donor events geographically spread across the country
    • Small “parlor parties” for donors
    • One annual, or biannual, donor event at US headquarters in Byron Center
  7. Perform other duties as assigned

  10. Strong analytical, diagnostic, consulting and problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to needs of diverse staff
  11. Ability to monitor, evaluate and continuously improve a program using feedback and program data (e.g. query data from available database)
  12. Able to maintain confidential information

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in travel and tourism, marketing, communication or another related field is required
  2. 3 – 5 years of program management experience
  3. At least two years of trip or event planning experience is required. Exposure to donor engagement, experience with nonprofit management and donor contact, and sales experience are definite assets
