General Description

The Director of Market Access will be responsible for the definition of the Regional Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy for the BeiGene assets in the New Markets Development territories.

He/she will partner with sub-regional and market teams.

He/she will coordinate the adaptation of evidence based HTA, Pricing & Reimbursement dossiers and tools as needed.

He/she will support the local teams in the negotiation process and will be actively engaging with external access and public affairs stakeholders, to support and contribute to the overall success of our product launches.

Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Develop a comprehensive Regional Market Access brand plan, as part of the Commercial plan
  • Work cross-functionally and across markets to define and communicate the BeiGene access, value and reimbursement perspectives
  • Lead the development and execution of all Regional Market Access initiatives, in collaboration with the Commercial Team
  • Identify synergies across markets by creating market archetypes based on access opportunities
  • Identify local needs in terms of data gaps to be elevated the HEOR and RWE generation teams
  • Prepare tailor-made access solutions for each market, to support affiliates and business partners through a central development of pricing schemes, negotiation strategies and scenarios
  • Create a culture of collaboration and sharing of access topics and solutions across markets
  • Develop innovative pricing and value-based contracting models to optimize the acceleration of reimbursement
  • Monitor market access and health policy environment, early identify new trends, disseminate strategic, operational and financial implications
  • Drive access and value related projects such as landscape assessments, payer market research, payer advisory boards and general guidance on regional strategies
  • Early access planning of new products and indications
  • Ensure HEOR programs support the regional strategy to facilitate access and reimbursement

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry, with key experiences operating in the area of Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement
  • Experience in pricing and reimbursement
  • Understanding of the payer system and reimbursement challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating drugs pricing and reimbursement conditions with public administrations and health authorities
  • Demonstrated experience in economic model adaptation for national/regional and local submission
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic insights into practical, well-designed HE and outcomes research initiatives to support value of brands
  • Demonstrated success and experience supporting oncology products pre-launch, launch and post-launch
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in matrix environment
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Agile, strategic thinking and ability to develop innovative global reimbursement/pricing strategies
  • Oncology market experience strongly preferred
  • Fluent in English. Other languages that constitute a plus are Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Science. Additional education in Health Economics and Pricing analytics is a plus

Travel: Approximately 40% of time
