ABOUT THE POSITION

Dexis is seeking a highly qualified Director to manage ongoing USAID-funded programs and develop new business with USAID and other donors around anti-corruption. This is a senior technical position in the Dexis’ Governance Practice that reports directly to the Governance Practice President, and will also collaborate with other practices, divisions, and departments within Dexis.

This position can be based remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development:

  • Drives further growth for Dexis in the areas of anti-corruption, transparency, and accountability by providing leadership, proactively seeking new opportunities, and capitalizing on existing professional networks.
  • Leads in capture and proposal development efforts through serving as lead technical writer, gathering information on clients, counterparts, scopes of work, and related projects, surveying the competitor landscape, identifying potential partners, coordinating collection of local cost and operational information, and recruiting key and non-key personnel for relevant proposals.
  • Cultivates partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Maximizes Dexis’ position under IDIQs held.
  • Continuously broadens professional network of development practitioners, recruitment sources, partners, competitors, counterparts, and client representatives.

Technical Leadership and Program Management:

  • Provides technical guidance, expertise, and support to ongoing programs.
  • Liaises closely with project staff, internal teams, and Dexis support units (e.g., HR, Payroll, Finance).
  • Provides management and oversight of assigned projects in compliance with contract and donor regulations.
  • Travels to project sites as needed to resolve complex challenges and obstacles and backstop staff as needed.
  • Supports Governance Practice strategies in compliance with organizational policies, priorities, and procedures and donor regulations.
  • Collaborates effectively with Dexis leadership to create and manage process improvements to support efficient and productive operations and ensure the achievement of strategic goals for the Governance Practice
  • Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned staff, giving regular performance feedback and working with employees to provide opportunities to grow and develop at Dexis.
  • Mentors and trains new employees as needed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in public administration/policy, law, social science, management, or another related field.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in anti-corruption, transparency, and accountability.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience with at least five years of experience in the management and implementation of foreign assistance programs and/or technical work related to anti-corruption.
  • Strong analytic and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to work in challenging and difficult environments.
  • Experience with USAID-funded programming.
  • Supervisory experience (including but not limited to training and guiding staff).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach staff in proposal and project management tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish or French.
