The Digital Transformation team within Salesforce.org provides a unique form of creative advisory service to our top customers. We engage with the C-suites of the world’s biggest nonprofits and universities to help them understand and reframe their most acute challenges, collaborating with them to identify new opportunities, and reshape the future. Blending strategy, vision, ideation, storytelling, business case development and the value of digital transformation, the Innovation team enables executives to rethink what it means to be a constituent, student, customer, partner or employee of their organisation.

We are looking for outstanding individuals who embody all the hallmarks of a trusted business advisor and challenger. The best candidates will have significant experience in guiding C-level executive teams towards transformation, and driving customer alignment through a highly strategic, value-based engagement methodology that focuses on addressing our customer’s most compelling business needs. Whilst NGO or Education Industry experience is desirable, we believe passionately in applying knowledge from the commercial sector to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

Description

A Digital Transformation Lead is responsible for execution of Innovation + Digital Transformation engagements with Salesforce.org customers in EMEA. This individual is responsible for helping prospects and customers in a structured ideation process to unlock value and find creative solutions to existing business challenges through the right techniques for the current opportunity.

Your Impact (Responsibilities)

  • Provide strategy and the value of digital transformation to Nonprofit or Higher Education organisations
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders through a structured pre-sales consulting engagement
  • Synthesize research learnings about market and user needs into an insightful framing of problems and opportunities.
  • Design and facilitate complex work sessions for C-suite executives and cross-functional internal teams, generating content and compelling exercises to meet specified need and objectives.
  • Frame new opportunities and concepts that deliver value to customers and end users, balancing constraints, and knit together holistic visions of future customer success.
  • Shape and articulate value proposition of a digital transformation that will enable the customer to meet their key strategic objectives, help tackle their most business critical challenges, and enable rapid growth, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver compelling business case presentations and financial models for digital transformation aimed at identifying, accelerating, justifying, and / or expanding opportunities to create impact.
  • Create assets and artefacts that provide a representation of the Solution for discussion (business impact, process impact, technical fit)
  • Collaborate with broader Strategic Engagement & Innovation team with cross-functional engagement during Strategic Account reviews
  • Build C-suite relationships through capabilities and presence, becoming a trusted advisor to customer executives who seek you out for strategic advice.
  • Prepare thought-provoking executive proposals to engage customers in long-term business relationships.
  • Participate in multiple engagements while maintaining focus on results.
  • Lead complex customer projects that deliver world-class results, motivating, mentoring and aligning a core team of researchers, designers and strategists, as well as broader Salesforce.org and customer team members.
  • Build strong relationships with diverse internal stakeholders to bring the full Salesforce ecosystem together for maximum customer success, creating enduring relationships that advance personal and organisational
  • Coordinate a virtual team (internal and external) to deliver a compelling vision of our solution (ie, Demo, Storyboards, Process Flows, etc)
  • Up to 50% travel, both to customer sites and other Salesforce offices, will be part of this role. During the Covid-19 era, we have been working fully remotely.

Experience And Qualifications

In addition to the competencies necessary to fulfill the responsibilities above, the following experience and qualifications are sought:

  • Market experience in Nonprofit or Higher Education
  • Entrepreneurial bias for action with ability to resolve problems with limited resources and input.
  • Passionate curiosity regarding emerging trends in innovation, business strategy, and the challenges of transforming large enterprises, and enthusiasm for using the design process to make businesses more effective, relevant and successful.
  • Innate curiosity to learn how a business functions and learn new business models.
  • Strong discovery and probing skills to learn business pain, identify opportunities and build credibility with customers
  • Strong communication skills, written, spoken.
  • Executive presence – must be comfortable influencing and collaborating in a C-level environment.
  • Understand the Salesforce product suite and be able to ideate the optimal client solution based on what Salesforce, Salesforce.org (and Salesforce.org partners) can deliver
  • Strategic thinking that is focused on results and business outcomes.
  • Excellent situational awareness – must be comfortable in dynamic customer environments and able to present our company well.
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as empathy, listening, mirroring and communicating in different methods dependent on individual preferences.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to balance conversation within groups. Can solicit ideas from mixed groups and help them drive towards building consensus
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and helping other team members through it. Enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration
