You will as a Developed Market Credit Analyst for the Credit Research unit in our Pictet Wealth Management Division:
- Analysing developed market corporate credit to formulate bond investment recommendations. These credits will encompass IG and HY issuers in the US and Europe mainly.
- Monitoring and advising on risks in discretionary portfolios.
- Completing and diversifying the research offering to the advisory function.
- Providing bottom-up credit strategy views to the CIO office.
Your role
- Initiating coverage and monitoring recommendations on a selected yet dynamic list of issuers and their bonds. At this stage we are leaving the sector open with a preference for an analyst who has had exposure to consumer, energy and healthcare sectors.
- Providing insights on sector trends and issuer dynamics in collaboration with existing resources to develop a unique sector expertise and ownership.
- Working alongside discretionary portfolio managers to provide monitoring on exposure and risks, at both issuer and sector level.
- Enriching the advisory focus list by adding coverage content.
- Helping the CIO office to strengthen PWM’s view on credit positioning.
- Presenting the most significant recommendations and sector views to PWM’s internal constituents and clients.
Your profile
- A Master’s degree in Economics or Finance, along with any additional financial education such as the CFA, would be an added advantage.
- 5-10 years of experience in credit analysis.
- Developed market experience, with a focus on Consumer, healthcare and energy sectors.
- In-depth understanding of financial analysis and accounting.
- Experience of bond and bond index analysis.
- Experience of covenant analysis.
- Knowledge of credit-spread products.
- Good writing and presentation skills in both large and one-on-one formats.
- Acute critical faculties.
- Team player and ability to work against deadline.
- Fluent in English and French – another language would be a plus.
- Resident in Switzerland (possibility to work in the post from another location, depending on profile).
