Delivery of “One Health” trainings in Southeast Asia

CFI is looking for a service provider(s) capable of designing and delivering trainings and coaching on the “One Health” scientific approach to journalists in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines. The Call is divided into 4 lots :

Lot 1 : Vietnam

Lot 2 : Cambodia

Lot 3 : Lao

Lot 4 : Philippines

Activity 1: training in the “One Health” scientific approach for journalists (face-to-face)

In order to reach the widest possible audience while dealing with topics under the “One Health” approach, it is essential to think about the content and the way in which this information is treated and perceived. The journalist beneficiaries will receive a training from the Service provider to better understand this scientific approach, and to better integrate it into their treatment of medical and environmental information.

Activity 2: Ongoing Support Coaching for Media Content Production (Remote)

Forecast dates : the coaching will start from Activity 1 and last until the end of November 2024 and will disseminate the coaching days in a homogeneous way along this period. T

In addition to the training session provided by the Service Provider, this coaching will provide remote educational support, in order to anchor the skills acquired by the journalists of the beneficiary media during the training sessions. They are also meant to encourage them to produce content on the “One health” themes using their new skills, and to disseminate this content on social networks.

Media for One Health project wants to bring the “One Health” approach to the knowledge of a wide public by raising awareness of local media by training their journalists so that they can carry out their mission of information and prevention to the potential future crises. The media will be also encouraged to develop a positive and unifying discourse by promoting local, national and international adaptation solutions.

The general objective (GO) of the Project is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of South Asian media (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines) in the production and dissemination of information related to the “One Health” approach. Media treatment of this approach is expected to be a driving force in the prevention of infectious diseases by linking scientists, policy makers and civil society.
