KEY FUNCTIONS
We’re recruiting for an experienced leader and change agent to direct Blue Ventures’ Madagascar country team. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring that Blue Ventures Madagascar transforms to deliver impact at scale for coastal communities and our ocean. Reporting to the Regional Director for Africa, the Madagascar Country Director will :
- Lead and develop the Madagascar team
- Drive change across the country operation
- Guide strategic planning and goal setting
- Build effective partnership for conservation
- And share knowledge to drive wider chang
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters degree or equivalent in marine environmental management, or equivalent qualification in rural development, political or social science, or another related field;
- Minimum of 10 years’ field and team management experience, including at senior level
- Demonstrated track record of designing and driving far-reaching change initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills
- Excellent communicator across diverse audiences
- Data-driven and results-oriented; proven ability to manage data/metrics and make data informed decisions
- Excellent organisational skills, an ability to marshal resources, and continually improve systems and processes
- Fluency in Malagasy and/or French, plus English, both written and spoken
