1 POSITION – BASED IN NAIROBI
Main Purpose
Reporting to the Human Resource Coordinator Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for cleaning and preparing meals for patients and MSF staff, according to hygiene standards and security rules, in order to ensure their nutritional needs.
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure timely preparation of healthy meals for staff:
- In collaboration with staff responsible draft the menu list, consideraing all staff dietry needs.
- Resposible for purchase of food stuffs, ensuring correct invoicing.
- Control Stock of Food and replenish in good time.
- Responsible for dispatch of meals to the various staff work locations.
- Ensure the availabilty of staffs before meal preparations ie. Daily counts of staff who will be partaking the lunch to avoid wastage
- Responsible for keeping inventory of cutleries and utensils and Kitchen Equipment in all locations
- Responsible for keeping proper records of staff participating in meals and reconciliation at the end of every week.
- Responsible for timely preparation and availabilty of office tea and coffee
- Ensure there is adequate supply of drinking water in the offices
- Responsible for maintaining a hygienic environment at all time ( wash used dishes, cups, clear floor of all food particles etc)
- Responsible for sanitizing all the common areas, surfaces and equipments used by staff.
- Ability to rotate and work in any of the Kenya Office locations as may be necessary
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Catering or its equivalent
Experience
At least 2 years’ experience in similar position.
Languages
Fluent in English and Kiswahili essential
Knowledge
Essential: computer literacy (word, excel,).
Essential: Ability to read and write
Desirable: proven understanding of Cooking skills, general knowledge of kitchen equipment’s.
