Responsibilities and duties:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, issuing employment contracts, and conducting orientations.
  • Manage and update the HR candidates’ database.
  • Manage and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (compensations, timesheets, leaves, etc.).
  • Communicate with the chartered accountant and other concerned parties regarding the employees’ social security issues.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Manage the HR welfare activities.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage and perform other HR duties as assigned by the direct manager.
  • Provide quality admin support to the staff in the Field Office and provide daily reporting to the Head of Department.
  • Act as back-up for the HR & Admin Officer in case of absence.
  • Provide support on translation when needed, English-Arabic.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements and Skills:

HR assistant should have the following skills, education, and experience:

Essential

  • University degree or equivalent experience in business administration, HR, language studies, or related area.

  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in HR, general administration, and/or office management.

  • Excellent command of written and oral Arabic and English.

  • A tactful fast learner with a friendly and cheerful personality.

  • Advanced user of IT including word processing, and Excel databases/ spreadsheet use.

  • Operate in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.

  • Able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Able to maintain professional confidentiality on HR matters.

  • Ability to work within a multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary environment and to work effectively with others.

  • Willing to live and work in a hardship duty station with basic facilities.

    Desirable

  • Previous experience in INGOs or NGOs is preferable.

  • Turkish nationality or Syrian with residency/kimlek

  • Always available attitude.

  • Flexibility to adjust within an online working environment.
