Job Purpose

The “HR Shared Services” (HRSS) was transferred to the Manila Shared Services Center (MSSC) in 2016. Its mission is to accompany ICRC employees whose contract is subject to Swiss law (4,000 people) in their HR administrative requirements to ensure a smooth professional journey in the organization. It is comprised of different services such as HR Administration & Contracts, Global Mobility and other HR Specialists. The HRSS also extends its services to the entire workforce of the ICRC through iDevelop request processing, and to HR services providers via its Business Proximity Support (BPS).

The Compensation Data & Analytics Officer will mainly support the Compensation and Benefits Unit in Geneva for the implementation of annual salary scales review. In addition, he/she may also be required to assist or support other Compensation & Benefits and Remuneration team in analysing and managing their data and reports, and business as usual activities as needed.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Core Activities

  • Prepare salary scales for annual and midyear review
  • Prepare data and information for external remuneration survey and ensure data is submitted within the required deadlines
  • Produce survey salary analysis and support regional Compensation & Benefits in specific demands
  • Participate in user acceptance test of the Compensation module for mobile and HQ staff
  • Assist in planning the execution of the annual salary review
  • Apply best practices, standards, guidelines and templates for data management and analytics, and works on continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to institutional reporting and dashboards by supporting colleagues in delivering reports, revisions, and optimization.
  • Ensure continuity and smooth transition of data entered into various system applications, including with third party providers
  • Contribute to the development of the data model and usage of the referential data that supports analysis.

Process management

  • In case of absence, acts as back-up to the processes of Remuneration Specialist

Quality Control

  • Uphold an audit-ready mindset to support any future internal/external audit activities
  • Assists in improving, developing & applying data quality monitoring processes & tools (dashboards etc) and contributes where appropriate in DQ controls automation.
  • Monitor data quality controls and consolidates, cleans and implements corrective actions.
  • Perform four-eye/buddy check to the tasks performed by Remuneration Specialist

Other tasks

  • If necessary and upon request, provide ad hoc administrative tasks for the unit or department
  • Being proactive with continuous improvement propositions for the team’s management processes and / or more generally the HR Shared Services

Selection Requirements:

  • University degree, professional diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ professional experience in HR Shared Service & Data analytics
  • Knowledge of BI, SQL, statistical packages, Tableau is an advantage
  • Proven experience in HR administration, ideally in the administration of compensation and data
  • Ability to translate technical data into business or management insight
  • Ability to clean data from multiple reports
  • Ability to communicate to a diverse audience. Knowledge of and experience in HR shared services, including workflows, processes and key performance indicators
  • Certification in HR an asset
  • Good command of English, French language skills an asset
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of HR information systems
