Communications Internship

Prince Claus Fund

We are looking for a new Communications intern. You will work with the Communications Coordinator and will be part of our Fundraising and Communications Team. You will share the Fund’s work with the public and our stakeholders, create exciting content for our website and social media channels as well as implement communication campaigns.

The internship will include work with our social media channels and website, copywriting, media monitoring and research, as well as supporting Communications & Fundraising team in strategy and planning.

TASKS

Closely following Dutch and International news and social media; Monitoring and archiving media about the Prince Claus Fund and its partners; Supporting Communications and Fundraising efforts with research; Assisting with the writing of texts for the website, social media and newsletter; Updating the Fund’s database (mailing list & press contacts).

THE QUALITIES & QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Language: Fluent English – excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required;
  • Pursuing BA/BS or MA/MS degree in communications/journalism, marketing or related field preferred; 
  • Experience with social media, image editing programmes, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator;
  • Efficient, quick, resourceful, pro-active, self-motivated, stress-resistant and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent organisational skills and detail-oriented.

START DATE & DURATION

We are looking for one trainee starting from the end of September 2021, preferably for 6 months and for 3 days a week.

ABOUT TRAINEESHIPS

Traineeships at the Fund – additional to the work experience the Fund offers interns workshops by leading staff members who share their expertise and unique insights into working in the cultural sector globally. 

Duration & compensation - Traineeships (aka internships) are usually for 6 months, though 3 months is also possible. Trainees are expected to commit 3 days a week to working at the Fund. Knowledge of English is important for all internships. The Prince Claus Fund provides an allowance of €250 gross per month based on a full-time internship (full time = 36hrs). Only currently enrolled students are able to apply. If you are not a student, but would like to be involved in the work of the Fund, you can also apply to be a volunteer. Volunteers receive a maximum net amount of €170 per month.
