Do you want to play a part in helping to transform children’s services in Nottinghamshire? Do you have a proven track record in planning, delivering and evaluating creative integrated communications and marketing campaigns?

The successful candidate will have excellent skills across the full communications mix including digital and traditional marketing, public relations and media with the ability to write engaging content for different audiences for a range of channels.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of communications on a key project for the council around transforming its children’s services. The programme is to support the development of a whole system operating model to support families so that children in need of help, protection and care achieve their best possible outcomes.

During this project the need for clear and timely communications will be increasingly important. It’s vital that staff, elected members, partners, and others understand the process of change and what it means for them. The potholder will work alongside a supportive team of creative communications specialists but immersed within the children’s services to deliver the outcomes related to this specific programme. The activity will be aligned to the priorities set out in the newly launched Nottinghamshire Plan outlining our vision and ambitions for the future of Nottinghamshire.

Candidates will have experience of creating insightful campaign plans, as well as managing and delivering projects for both internal and external audiences, demonstrating how their strong client management skills contributed to its success. This postholder will need to remain flexible and adaptable to working in a hybrid of remote and physical working environments.

Working alongside other communications and digital professionals, the successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communications skills; and be able to develop effective strategies to deliver creative and impactful communications that make a positive difference.
