Job Summary

Communication Specialist

UK based in Cornwall and functional area of work

Salary Up To £40,000 (depending On Skills And Experience)

Role overview : As an experienced communications practitioner, the incumbent will drive all communications activity for Imerys in the UK ensuring it is entirely focused on the requirements of the business . Provide a brief and concise description of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how it fits into the company or organization overall. State working hours.

Reports To : The Communication Specialist will report to Country HR Director.

Direct reports: none

Responsibilities And Duties

Driving proactive communications strategy and tactics in the UK region, fully aligned with Business Areas and Group business goals.

This role will regionalise and activate communications programs/campaigns originating from the Business Areas Communications and Group Communications teams, and ensure full alignment with functional partners in Legal, Operations, HR and other functional support teams as needed.

Qualifications& Experience

  • Relevant University Degree with specialisation in Communications (Ideally)
  • Experience of functioning at management level within a complex matrix and diverse multinational organisation
  • Experience of working for a communications agency or international organisation with internal communications
  • Work in a multisite industrial environment

Skills & Person Specification

  • Expert in internal communications with exposure to media relations
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to translate abstract business concepts into meaningful ‘everyday’ language
