Cloud Architect

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Delivering and managing cloud and infrastructure technology engagements across a variety of clients and industries
• Develop Cloud Strategy including Target Cloud reference architectures & implementation roadmap
• Design and optimize cloud strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable systems of the customer
• Conducting architectural evaluation, analysis, and design of enterprise-wide systems specifically on cloud and infrastructure domain
• Define and document the cloud landing zone architecture based on well architected frameworks that include areas such as identity and access management, networking, security, resilience, operational excellence, design, cost optimization and other requirements based on leading practices
• Work with cloud delivery leads for performing PoC demonstrations and defining requirements as needed
• Supporting business development for our Cloud Practice through leading responses to RFPs, engaging with clients to identify new opportunities and introducing new clients to our services
• Travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed

Desired Profile:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering or similar) or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience working in either of the areas of Cloud architecture, migrations, DevOps or Managed services
• Relevant Cloud Service Provider certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP preferred)
• Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices preferably with practical implementation experience of these practices
• An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced in integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models
• Extensive experience in architecting enterprise applications on public cloud solutions
• Extensive experience in conducting Cloud Readiness Assessments taking into consideration business, technical and commercial perspectives
• Demonstrable experience in architecting large-scale cloud migration projects/programme. Involved in 3+ large cloud migration initiatives
• Experience re-platforming applications from one OS to another (ex. Solaris to Linux) or from one database to another (ex. Oracle to Aurora, etc.)
• Experience in evaluating existing data centre and digital strategies with an intent to migrate to cloud
• Experience in developing cloud service maps, TCO analysis, security considerations as part of a wider Cloud Adoption Framework
• Agile Project Delivery including project management certifications and knowledge will be advantageous
