About Civitas Maxima:

Civitas Maxima (CM) coordinates a network of national and international lawyers and investigators who work for the interest of victims of international crimes. It operates in situations where no legal action to bring the perpetrators to justice has been successful and works in close partnership with the Global Justice and Research Project (GJRP) based in Monrovia. CM represents victims of war crimes and crimes against humanity from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast.

Vacancy Description:

CM is looking for a full-time communications and outreach assistant from March 1st, 2022 until February 28th, 2023 to support the organization’s growing communication needs.
The assistant would work in close cooperation with the Communication Manager.

The candidate must be authorised to work in Switzerland.

Working language is English.

Requirements:

· Bachelor / Master’s degree: the candidate could still be in the process of obtaining her/his degree.

· Native or close to native English and French. Spanish a plus.

· Demonstrated skills social media engagement, digital storytelling, managing different channels, and scheduling show_content.

· Experience with WordPress;

· Excellent writing and editing skills for online show_content and publishing,

· Respect for other cultures, value systems and flexibility

· Organized, ability to work independently, and to take initiative.

· Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, and Canva a plus.

· Knowledge of communication for development, international law and/or international relations and experience working in/with West Africa is an asset.
