Child Protection Expert – UN funded project in Ukraine.

We are in search of dedicated and experienced Child Protection Experts to join a UN-funded project in Ukraine. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience working on child protection projects and have a strong background in monitoring and evaluation within the field.

Responsibilities: As a Child Protection Expert at AAN Associates, you may be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise in the evaluation and assessment of child protection programs, guiding the team through inception, data collection, and report writing phases.
  • Evaluating the implementation processes of child protection initiatives and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborating closely with our team to ensure the success of the project.

Note: This job description is tentative; the actual role may vary based on the specific nature and scope of the awarded project.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A relevant master’s degree in the thematic area (e.g., Child Protection, Social Work, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing child protection programs, with a focus on evaluations.
  • Specific experience working with government partners, NGOs, and development agencies such as UNICEF to implement child protection programs on national and subnational levels.
  • In-depth knowledge and skills in mixed methods research, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and evaluation.
  • Relevant regional experience in Ukraine or Eastern Europe. In-depth knowledge of the child protection system in Ukraine is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
