Chemonics
Chemonics seeks a Chief of Partyfor the anticipated USAID Bangladesh Feed the Future Inclusive Access to Finance Activity. The five-year project aims to increase access to finance for small- and medium-sized agribusinesses, smallholder farmers, and the rural poor. It will support agribusinesses and farmers to become more creditworthy, and stimulate increased lending from banks, microfinance institutions, and other lenders using blended finance. The Chief of Party will work closely with USAID and institutional partners to establish an integrated vision for the project and ensure project components work in tandem to achieve results. This position will be based in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities:
- Provide overall technical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring all activities, staff and partners achieve targets and meet reporting requirements
- Serve as Chemonics’ principal liaison with USAID and key stakeholders, including government representatives, financial institutions, public and private sector organizations, and beneficiaries
- Develop and implement annual work plans and budgets, reflecting the needs of USAID and other relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with Chemonics Corporate Office and USAID counterparts to ensure a high standard of compliance with Chemonics, Government of Bangladesh, and USAID regulations and requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in international development, agriculture, economics, finance, or a closely related field. Advanced degree in these areas is preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience supporting access to finance services in rural contexts
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a chief of party or other leadership position of donor-funded field programs, managing complex activities that involve coordination with multiple project stakeholders
- Experience working with a broad range of financial institutions (e.g., commercial banks, nonbanking financial institutions, and/or microfinance institutions)
- Strong understanding of blended finance, banking, microfinance and/or digital financial services.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a strong, diverse, inclusive, cohesive team where all team members are empowered and supported
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English required
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
