Here’s where you come in:

As the Chief of Party (CoP), USAID/Haiti Resilient Environment South Activity, you will be responsible for providing strategic vision, technical leadership and administrative oversight of the program ensuring compliance and project quality and will serve as the principal institutional liaison to the donor and local government entities. For management, the CoP must have proven leadership skills managing projects of a similar size and scope in developing countries. You must have prior experience effectively managing USAID development activities. You must have prior experience working in Haiti or in the Latin America and the Caribbean region, familiarity with the country’s social landscape, and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners. You must have demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff, as well as experience managing programmatic and financial reporting. You must understand and demonstrate commitment to the importance of adaptive management, gender and youth issues in natural resource management programming and within staff and management of the activity.

Requirements include:

  • A master’s degree in natural resource management or related concentration from an accredited U.S. college or university, or international equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience managing natural resource management or environment activities or related field in developing countries, especially in Haiti or in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
  • Previous experience with large USAID grants including Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA), Development Food Security Activity (DFSA), Development Food Assistance Programs (DFAP)s, Multi Year Assistance Programs (MYAP)s, and/or Development Assistance Programs (DAP)s is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Conversational French and/or Haitian Creole is preferred.
