Duties and Responsibilities
The Chapter Gender Consultant is responsible for:
Movement building
- Proactive relationship building with Chapters, interest groups, and enquiries per geography or other chapter groupings in their portfolio.
- Knowledge management, communication flow, and quarterly recording of key activities from across the chapter groups within their portfolio
- Support WGH on gender issues, dissemination of knowledge, interconnectivity between chapters, and proactive liaison between chapters and WGH Global.
Strategic portfolios
- Developing and delivering assigned training and workshops to chapter members.
- Proactive support collective learning ventures, with emphasis on cross-chapter collaboration.
- Developing and delivering collective peer-to-peer events (webinars, specific events as per WGH planning)
- Technical support to advocacy campaigns or events as required.
- Tool development management or support as necessary for chapters and or strategic dossiers.
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Tracking and accountability on WGH movement activities per quarter, specifically on geographies, chapter grouping, and strategic dossiers in their portfolio.
- Timely updating of MBT tools
- Maintaining a formal written record and correct archiving of all work within their portfolio.
Fundraising and reporting
- Follow up on WGH grants in chapters within their portfolio
- Support WGH Global in resource mobilization efforts
Other:
- Administrative support to dossiers as assigned in the teamwork plan.
- Management and follow-up of dossiers as assigned in team work plan.
- Collaboration with other WGH team members on dossiers as assigned by the Director.
Experience and skills required
- Educated to degree level in relevant field (gender, public health, political science, international development, health, or other relevant disciplines)
- 5 years of relevant experience in working with diverse stakeholders across varied geographies and languages.
- Experience in activism and movement-building
- Experience in training and tool development
- Experience in working on global health, international development, gender, and human rights, or other related fields
- Research experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in English is obligatory
- All other languages are a plus; Spanish and Arabic are desirable
- Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PPT and/or Canva, AI tools, etc.
Other requirements
- Stable internet access
- Preference for candidates living + or – 5 hours UTC.
