CDAC Network

The Communicating with Disaster-Affected Communities Network (CDAC Network) is seeking a CCEA Regional Coordinator for its project supporting the Ukraine crisis response. CDAC works to ensure that communication, community engagement and accountability (CCEA) are at the heart of humanitarian response activities.

This a consultancy role that will suit a passionate and effective communicator with proven facilitation, mentoring or training expertise. The role is home-based in the Ukraine region (ideally in a country bordering Ukraine), with regional travel as needed.

The CCEA Regional Coordinator will assist the International Convener to initiate and manage CDAC’s project supporting the Ukraine crisis response. The project seeks to embed localised skills and experience in communication and community engagement into the response. As a result, coordination between national and international efforts on CCEA will be enabled and all humanitarian responders will have access to the communication, information and engagement tools they need to enable people on the move or inside Ukraine to remain safe and secure and make informed decisions.

Building on CDAC’s decade of experience and learning on individual and collective CCEA responses, this role will work towards the successful delivery of the following two outcomes:

  1. A facilitated and coordinated pathway of engagement that bridges the gap between national and international actors and supports coherent dialogue and communication with all affected people.
  2. Making sure that knowledge and evidence gaps in local and regional communication and engagement are addressed on an ongoing basis.

If this job is for you, you will have proven expertise in planning, managing and coordinating training programmes. You are confident and innovative, excited to work in a fast-moving environment, passionate about communication, community engagement and accountability and driven by the opportunity to drive change in humanitarian and development action.
