Here at Action For Humanity, we have an exciting opportunity for a Capacity Building Intern to join our team based in our new office in Istanbul, Turkiye. You will support the Country Director with capacity building in the new office. You will embark on a journey of learning and research into topics related to training and capacity building in the humanitarian sector. He or she will be involved in research, material preparation, and the creation of written and visual content.

The Capacity Building Intern will be responsible to:

  • Conduct research about topics related to the training and capacity building in Humanitarian sector.
  • Develop materials to assist and support trainers and facilitators.
  • Create written and visual training content relevant to the training topics, such as including handouts, checklists, manuals, tests/quizzes, presentations, scripts, and so on.
  • Design learning activities, including questions, scenarios, exercises, games, and simulations.
  • Proof-read and edit content for proper use of grammar, punctuation, style, and brand guidelines.
  • Review and test content for accuracy and usability.
  • Ensure that all tasks are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be required by the Country Director

What we are looking for in our Capacity Building Intern:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or current student in Education, Management, Phycology, HR or a related field.

Experience

  • Interest in capacity building, training etc
  • Working/volunteering for an NGO desirable

Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously under minimal supervision
  • IT, including MS Outlook, MS Office including Excel and Teams, web browsers, Whatsapp

Languages

  • Strong written and spoken English essential
  • Other languages including Turkish and Arabic a bonus
