Business Incubator Manager (Ukraine)

The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is looking for an experienced and motivated Business Incubator Manager based in Kyiv/Ukraine. The position has the responsibility for establishing “REDpreneur.UA” which enhances business skills development at Red Cross branches and supports innovative ventures of conflict affected women and IDPs.

Main responsibilities:

• Establish and manage the “REDpreneur Business Incubator” in Kyiv, Ukraine
• Helping women and IDPs refine entrepreneurial ideas and create business plans and development strategies
• Develop tools and systems to support local entrepreneurs at every stage of their development
• Provide support to Red Cross branches to establish financial sustainable provision of social and health services
• Facilitate communication, advance e-learning and digital tools for capacity and skills development
• Set-up a pool of mentors, trainers, and local experts to support a women business network
• Ensure proper narrative and financial reporting as per donor and AutRC internal requirements
• Conduct research to identify funding and sources of support for social entrepreneurs and innovative start-ups

Qualifications:

• At least five years of proven experience in social entrepreneurship, small business development and/or innovation management
• Educational background in economic science, development studies or a related field
• Experience in programme development or leading position in a social business/NGO would be an asset
• Project and finance management skills (including budgeting and budget control)
• Good English speaking and writing skills required, Ukrainian language skills are a strong asset
• Excellent networking skills and ability to work in an international team with high sensitivity to diversity
• Experience in the Red Cross- and Red Crescent Movement and previous assignments abroad especially in Eastern Europe are an asset

About the job:

• Job location: Kyiv; travels to other destination in Ukraine if required
• Application deadline: 1. April 2024
• Start of employment: May 2024, latest June 2024
• Duration: Minimum 1 year with option to extend
• Compensation: Minimum monthly all-in salary of € 4.430,00 / 14 time per year; option to be raised depending on qualifications and experience
• Accommodation in country of assignment is being provided
