The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for handling leads and converting them into real business opportunities through sophisticated email and phone outreach. The BDR will be an early member of a global team, playing a crucial role in generating interest with qualified prospects in a repeatable and meaningful manner in both outbound and inbound sales. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be mentored by some of the top enterprise sales professionals in the industry. It will be both the hardest and the most fulfilling job you will ever have.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Actively find companies that fit within our target customer profile to:
    • Research
    • Build relevant and targeted campaigns to attract and engage
    • Conduct initial qualifying conversation
    • Educate on our offering and the market
  • Actively grow understanding of Network Automation space and how our solution differentiates from other solutions
  • Generate highly qualified leads for the sales team
  • Engage with prospects through cold calling and personalized emails
  • Work closely with Account Executives to strategically penetrate key target accounts
  • Partnering with marketing to understand what messaging is resonating and what needs to be adjusted
  • Identify new accounts that help bolster Itential
  • Report weekly/monthly analysis to SDR Manager and VP of Sales
  • Cold-call and email prospective clients directly in an effort to set a first meeting

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a in a business development/sales role either through an internship or in a full-time position.
  • Experience in SaaS and/or enterprise software, a plus
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude despite day to day changes
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong storytelling ability
  • Proven track record in evangelizing and selling solutions
  • Ability to creatively explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Knowledge of sales prospecting activities and tools a plus
  • Coachable and feedback oriented- always looking to get better
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, with ability to work remotely

Location: Candidates able to regularly work in the Atlanta office are preferred, however, remote applicants within the U.S. will be considered.
