Business Development Manager – ASDA

Slough based contract (hybrid working)

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll Support the ASDA Business Account Manager (BAM) in the management of the ASDA Crisps Snacks and Nuts business, with specific responsibility for Singles, Nuts, Retailer Brand (Own/Private Label) and Online. The role will be office based from Slough working within the Tesco/ASDA/Discounters team and report directly in to the ASDA Business Account Manager.

As our Business Development Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create, monitor and evaluate JBP for Singles
  • Responsibility for Nuts including Buyer contact within ASDA and management of volume, sales, profit, and category performance
  • Support the ASDA BAM in the delivery of the full JBP for KP Snacks
  • Support in the development of the business increasing distribution and availability of core sku’s, driving branded business
  • Lead the promotional planning cycle including admin, communication with ASDA commercial and supply planning teams. This includes management of the collabrative forecast and the 30/60/90 process in conjunction with the Collab manager
  • Lead, monitor and drive the performance of online business including ownership of ASDA contacts

Job requirements:

  • Graduate calibre, preferably with previous sales experience
  • Entrepreneurial thinker who is comfortable working in a fast paced FMCG environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Collaborative work style with strong customer focus.
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence and ability to develop and present compelling sales presentations
  • PC Literate: experience as user on Excel / PowerPoint
